Although almonds may seem an odd weight loss tip choice because of their fat content, they are an ideal replacement for an empty-calorie snack and will keep you going for longer.

AlmondsWhen scientists put two groups of people on low-calorie diets, one of which included almonds, the group eating almonds lost 50% more weight and fat that the other group.  Almonds help you feel fuller for longer and provide a burst of protein and nutrients that combine to increase energy levels.

So, next time you feel yourself reaching for the chocolate bars, just try a handful of almonds instead.

Immunity Boosters – Spinach

SpinachSpinach is rich in Carotenoids, which the body converts to antioxidant vitimin A.  This helps to trigger immune response to help fight infections.  This vegetable helps to fight heart disease as well as helping to prevent breast, lung and cervical cancer.  The vitimin C content in Spinach also helps to keep the skin healthy and it’s vitimin B helps improve energy.  It is also rich in Zinc.

Note that heavy cooking removes the carotenoids and vitimin C, so eat raw or just cook lightly.
